Subject: Homicide Investigation at Abandoned School Facility

[TOKYO, JAPAN] – Law enforcement authorities have launched a homicide investigation following the discovery of a deceased individual in a derelict school building in a seismically active zone.

On the morning of July 21, 2025, authorities received a report concerning a suspected homicide. Officers were dispatched to the reported location: a school facility that had been abandoned for a significant period following severe damage from a past earthquake. Due to the high frequency of seismic activity in the region, the structure was never rebuilt.

An initial search of the premises was conducted over a period of two hours, yielding no immediate results. As the operational team prepared to withdraw, a single gunshot was heard originating from a concealed section of the school.

Officers traced the sound to a hidden entryway, which led to a subterranean electrical maintenance basement. The preliminary investigation revealed that the basement had been modified for specialized use, with established ventilation, internet connectivity, and a power supply.

Inside the chamber, officers discovered a deceased male, seated on the floor. The cause of death was determined to be a fatal shotgun wound to the head, which left the individual’s identity unrecognizable.

The following items of evidentiary value were recovered from the immediate vicinity of the deceased:

One (1) unspent shotgun shell

One (1) spent shotgun shell casing

A laptop computer, rendered inoperable by extensive blood damage

A photograph of an unidentified female, the subject’s face obscured by bloodstains

The area has been officially cordoned off as an active crime scene. The preliminary motive is being investigated in connection with Internet Relay Chat (IRC) logs submitted by the reporting party.

The decedent’s body has been transported to the forensic services division for a full autopsy and toxicological screening. Investigators are actively exploring potential links between this case and the recent series of high-profile disappearance and murder cases in the region.
